N.Z. TRADE MISSION
Christchurch Delegates Christchurch Arms will be represented by nine delegates in the New Zealand trade mission which will leave for South-East Asia next Tuesday. The leader of the mission will be Mr R. H. Stewart, of Christchurch, managing director of P.D.L. Industries. Ltd. The deputy-leader, also of Christchurch, will be Mr A 8. Farrar, managing director of Alec Farrar, Ltd. The director of the mission will be Mr R. T. Alston, executive director of the Canterbury Manufacturers* Association. Other Christchurch members wtil be Mr G. A Mlles, managing director of Amalgamated Batteries, Ltd; Mr B. J. Fraser, director of A W. Fraser and Company, Ltd; Mr E. C. Munt, managing director of the Hamilton United Brush Company, Ltd, and Mr W. H. Price, managing director of W. H. Price and Company, Ltd. The Christchurch firm of Bunting- and Company, Ltd, will be represented by Mr P. J. Clarke, of Auckland, and Mr S. Taylor, of Dunedin. The Timaru delegate will be Mr W. A. L. Leech, managing director of W. A L Leech and Company, Ltd. Representing the five trading banks will be Mr R. A McKir manager of the Hereford Street branch of the AN. Bank, Ltd. Mr McKinnon flew to Sydney last Thursday, and will join the mission there. The mission has received financial backing from the Government, and its activities will be assisted in Hong Kong, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, and Djakarta by the New Zealand trade commissioners in those centres.
