PAINTING CONTEST
Money Raßed For Charnh Two Itanen teems of cflbtehurch businessmen raSBl WO for charity in leas ttiam throe minutes in a housfc> painting competition at Bishopdale last evening. A team of Christchurch Lions Club members, led by the president (Mr C. F. Wbitty), bent the BeitestPepanui Jaycoes in a competition to see who could paint a hut fester. The prises—WO for trst and WO for second—were given by the Bishopdale Businessmen’s Association. The two teams lined up at the start, each man armed with a paint brush and a tin of blue paint At the word “Go,” they rushed to pmitions around the walla of two work huts and beam painting. Paint flew in all directions and the flnlshed product Una tai' from professional; I but speed was of the essence. Ike ana painted was about MB square feet At the same time a girl dresaed in a bikini, was being painted different colours with acrylic paint by an art student When he had flnlshed, the girl, who seemed cold, wrapped herself in a fur coat and disappeared in the crowd.
