These awards provide an excellent, opportunity for students to attend university full-time to complete a B.Sc. degree in pure, applied and statistical mathematics, and physics. The awards are open to students with at least university entrance examination. Preference will be given to holders of higher school certificate, or to university students who have begun to study for the degree bachelor of acience. These awards are continued annually until the degree is completed provided satisfactory progresa is maintained. A study award provides an allowance of 3300 a year and may be held concurrently with a university bursary, or junior or national scholarship. Marriage and boarding allowances are also paid under certain conditions. Students are bonded to remain in the Public Service after graduation for a year for every year of assistance. Successful applicants will be appointed to the Transport Department and during the long vacations bursars will be required to work tor the Transport Department at normal salary rates.
