CAMPING PROBLEM
Discussion By Council
Persons who had camped on the side of the road at Te Oka Bay had admitted the neit day they had seen the “no camping” notice they had camped beside, Cr J. N. Buckland told the Wairewa County Council yesterday. He had taken the number of the camper’s car, Cr Buckland said. If notices were put up they should be policed, said the chairman (Mr K. H. Parkinson). Cr W. S. L. Mcßae suggested “offenders will be prosecuted” should be added to the notices. It was decided to add a warning to new notices.
“If they get away with it they will tell their mates, and they will come over,” CrBuckland said.
