COMPETITOR AUSTRALIA
(N.Z Press Association)
HAMILTON, Oct. 11
New Zealand’s main competitor on the South Pacific market, was Australia, the New Zealand Trade'Commissioner for the Pacific (Mr P. J. Carroll) told an export seminar in Hamilton yesterday.
The seminar, arranged by the Frankton-Te Rapa Jaycees, was believed to be the first of its kind in the Waikato.
“Australian salesmen in this area are well-informed, commercially shrewd and aggressive sellers.” Mr Carroll said. “It would take a long time to dislodge any Australian product .which is firmly entrenched.”
