School Cadets On Coast

(N.Z. Press Association) HOKITIKA, October 12. The West Coast will lose its last school cadet unit The Westland High School’s board of governors last evening decided to ask the Army for permission for its unit to go into recess. The principal (Mr W. H. Bryant) said that after the departure of a teacher at the end of this year the unit would have only one commissioned officer and it would not be possible to continue. The unit, which includes an air training flight, has 130 pupils.
