Leaders A Little Firmer On Easier Market
Leading New Zealand shares were a little firmer on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, but over all issues falls shaded rises, on larger movement. The market’s undertone was still quite weak. Tading was active, over a wide range.
Glamour stock B.H.P, was the outstanding move; the shares jumped 70c to 1370 c in ex dividend sales, on the news of a hydrocarbon show in the new well, Dolphin A-l. In moderately active bidding, New Zealand investors added SNZ9m to the market value of the B.H.P. shares held in New Zealand. Since the low level of 520 c this year the value of the New Zealand holding has increased from SNZ67m to SNZI77m. New Zealand leaders to re-
