Extended Bar Hours
Sir,—lo p.m. closing means a major change in the way of life for hotel-keepers and staff. After a lapse of 50 years, the Government could well have waited a reasonable time to allow opposing views of management and staff to be adjusted, instead of rushing through sudden legislation. There is always a potential for industrial strife without enacting hurried measures liable to foster it.—Yours, etc.,
