LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
(1) Letters sent to the Editor for printing should preferably be typed, otherwise they must be written in ink on one side of the paper only. A legible signature and full address are required whether these are to be published or not. A P.O. box number is not a sufficient address.
(2) Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers.
(3) The Editor cannot return or keep any letter which for ■ any reason is unsuitable for printing; nor can he acknowledge unsuitable letters, although this will be done where it seems to be needful, or enter into any correspondence. (4) Letters must not be of more . . than 150 words. Curious. —Sub Judice. Elderly.—Not borne out by our statistics. Coloured Water.—No space for the discussion. “K. B. Smada.”—Too long. See rules above. Facts.—No space for a correspondence on evolution. Tussock, Lake Tekapo.—You should write to the N.Z.B.C Bruce Henderson.—Sorry; it would be an expensive precedent. Mark D. Sadler. —We see no need to reopen the subject of Vietnam’ just now. Donald Duck.—Most of your postulates are open to argu ment Lochwood. —We have neither the staff nor the space to expand a service which is matched by no other news* paper in the country. Keep N.Z. Clean.—The same precautions would be taken here as in Australia if the suggestion camo to anything.
