Red Cross Library
Included in the 5000 books now in the library of the North Canterbury centre of the Red Cross Society are 30 books with large print for persons with poor eyesight. The secretary of the centre (Mr R. J. Lipscombe) said that 50 voluntary helpers distributed tbe books to about 500 persons in Christchurch. There was no charge for this service, but any donations were spent on oew books for the library.
