The Auckland professional, W. J. Godfrey, shot a 69 in the Rosenthal Riverland tournament to finish in second place, two strokes behind the winner, T. Woolbank (New South Wales), yesterday.

All the New Zealand players finished well up in the 36hole $2OOO tournament, with B. T. Boys on 141, two strokes behind Godfrey, and J. M. Lister on 142.

Boys equalled the best round of the day with bls 68. He dropped a stroke on the easy par-four eighteenth when his pitch missed the green.
