Talks With Russians
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 10 The Minister of Railways (Mr Gordon) said today he was at present talking with the Russians in relation to something he wanted to buy for the railways. Wool was a factor in the talks. A barter trade, he said, was desirable in some circumstances, but it could have very dire consequences if New Zealand started bartering on a large scale with a country it did not normally trade with.
