FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An intense anticyclone centred west of the South Island is spreading on to New Zealand. Forecast: x Canterbury, Central Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Westland.—Winds light or moderate and variable; weather fine apart from some morning fog or low cloud patches; moderate afternoon temperatures. Coastal Marlborough.—Southerly winds fresh about the Sounds at first but later decreasing; partly cloudy with moderate afternoon temperatures. Outlook.—All districts: Mainly fine.
