WELLINGTON, September 20.
As a spur to even greater export effort, the special 20 per cent tax deduction rate for increased export sales will be continued for another year, the Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Marshall) announced in Wellington yesterday.
The deduction rate was raised earlier this year from 1 15 per cent to 20 per cent I for 1967-68 only. “This was to be a special i incentive in a specially diffi- ; cult year as we then saw it,” ] Mr Marshall said. ;
The Government had decided to continue the increased rate of 20 per cent to March 31, 1969. Farly announcement of the decision, he said, would enable exporters to plan a sales promotion with greater assurance.
