C.B.H.S. Loses Rugby

A last-minute penalty goal gave the New Plymouth Old Boys under-20 Rugby team a hard-fought victory, by 17-14, over Christchurch Boys’ High School at Straven Road.

The game was dominated by the rugged Taranaki forwards, but some fine attacking play by the School backs kept the result in doubt until the final whistle

The School captain, D. PhilUpson, and H. Joseph both had good games, while the wing, J. Mathews, scored 11 points from a try, a conversion and two penalty goals.
