Efforts To Keep Trotting Events
The Amberley Racing Club is continuing its efforts to retain trotting events on the programme for its annual race meeting.
The Amberley secretary (Mr J. K. Wild), yesterday sent a telegram to the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Seath) asking for renewed consideration for the club’s position in being forced to eliminate trotting events. The Amberley club feels that it, like West Coast clubs, has a special case for retention of trotting events. Mr D. S. Thomas was reelected chairman at the annual meeting of the club this week.
