M. O’BRIEN ISSUES

Clarifying Statement The new share issue of M. O’Brien and Company, Ltd, entitled the holders to participate in the one-for-10 bonus issue, and to half the interim dividend normally payable in March, and to the final dividend of 1968, said the chairman (Mr M. F. O’Brien) yesterday. The cash issue is one for six 50c shares at 70c. The books will close from September 15 to September 20 inclusive, after which letters of entitlement will be sent Dividend cheques for the final payment for the year to June 30, 1967, will be issued immediately after the annual meeting and several days before October 18, the closing date of applications.

Renunciations will close one week later, on October 25. The shares to be issued as part consideration for the purchase of Denver Footwear, Ltd, will not be eligible for the rights to the share issue or the bonus issue, and will not receive the final dividend for the latest year.
