BURNED-OUT CAR FOUND

HAMILTON, August 15.

Police are looking for the owner of a burned-out car found near Benneydale on Saturday, August 5. The gutted shell of a 1964 Chrysler Valiant, painted offwhite, with automatic transmission and fitted with rear mud-grip tyres, was found near the Benneydale road, five miles from Te Kuiti. The number plates were missing. Only the chassis number, APS-4-3898, and the engine number, TP2-8248, offer some possibility of identification.
