Vietnam Aid To London

f (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 15. The National Council of Churches has not applied to send funds to North Vietnam for medical supplies. In Parliament today the Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) said the Reserve Bank had no record of any application for funds to North Vietnam. Mr Hanan told Mr D. A. Highet (Nat., Remuera) that such an application would not have been approved. Mr Highet bad asked about a report that the council had made a grant of $2OOO to North Vietnam for medical supplies.

The council had applied to send funds to the National Council of Churches in London for relief work in Vietnam and this had been approved, said Mr Hanan.
