Aborigines Increasing

SYDNEY, Aug. 15. Australia’s full-blooded aboriginal population is increasing, according to figures obtained during last year’s Census.
The Census showed a total of 46,346 full-blooded aborigines—about 10,000 more than at the previous Census in 1961.
But the real gain, according to the Federal Statistics Bureau, was only about 6000 because an estimated 3944 full-bloods in Western Australia and the Northern Territory were not counted in 1961.
