„ SYDNEY. New Zealand scored a surprise win, beating Britain, 2-1, on the last day of the world squash rackets teams championships last evening. However, New Zealand’s win was not big enough for it to edge out Britain from second Rlace in the championships, ew Zealand finished two rub* bers and three games behind Britain.

The championship was won by Australia, with flvs victories in five matches.

New Zealand had to win 3-0 to beat Britain into second place. Results (New Zealand names first): —

C. Waugh lost to J. Barrington, 4-9, 0-9, 4*9; T. Johnston beat M. Corby, 9-2, 9-4, 9-7; P. Dibley beat P. Stokes, 9-6, 9-0, 9-6.
