One Fewer For Kiwi Panel
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The nomination of Mr C. R. Mountford, the New Zealand Rugby League director of coaching and secretary, for the three-man national selection panel, was withdrawn by the council last evening. Mr Mountford was one of 11 names which had been forwarded to the council meeting. The council confirmed a pre* vious decision that while Mr Mountford held the dual positions of director of coaching and secretary he would not be available as a national selector.
The nominations are: Messrs M. Robertson, B. Robertson. W. Telford, T. Newton, and R. Cranch (Auckland). W. O’Callaghan (Waikato), M. Church (Wellington), L. Blanchard (Canterbury) B. Kurton (Otago), and W. Mountford (West Coast).
