The president’s team, to be coached by Mr M. A. Henshall, president of the Canterbury association, consists entirely of former provincial representatives. One, R. S. Thomson, is * former South Island player. He will captain the side. Making his first appearance in the President’s team will be P. Fox, who has made a successful comeback in the Rex A grade team this season. Others Include J. Harliwich and the Y-Boys trio, C. Harley, L. Anderson and K. Baker. The executive’s team will start as the under dog but it also has some sound players. M. Bach and M. Mackay
are both former Canterbury representatives. Mackay in fact played for the province only last season at the national tournament There is one current A grade player, R. Dew, and two others, G. N. Davey and M. Haberfleld, who have played in the A grade several times this season. J. Grocott is a former A grade player and A Barrett spent some time in the Canterbury B team a few years ago. R.
