France Beaten In Game Of Injuries

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) PRETORIA. The French Rugby team, reduced by injuries to 13 men in the second half, was beaten 19-5 by Northern Transvaal on Saturday.

The centre, C. Dourthe, was carried off in the first half with a broken collarbone and the winger, B. Duprat, went off in the second half with a shoulder injury. The lock, W. Spanhero, suffered a badly bruised foot but played on. Two Northern Transvail players were also off temporarily with injuries. D. Pretorius, the Northern Transvaal full-back, kicked two penalty goals and converted two tries. Meiring, Lourens and P. Uys scored tries.

Spanghero scored a try for France and G. Camberabero converted.

South Africa has made two changes in its team for the fourth and final test against France in Cape Town on Saturday. It is:— H de Villiers, C. Dirksen, S. Nomls, E. Olivier, J. Engelbrecht, P. Visagle, D. de Villiers (captain), J. B. Neethllng, G. Pitzer, G. Kotze, J. Ellis, 3, P. Naude, F. du Preez, P. Grayling, A. de Waal.
