TOURIST AID IN ROME

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) ROME, August 6. Rome police have assigned a squad of 700 uniformed and plainclothes men to protect tourists from being molested, cheated or robbed.
Typical duties are to see that lone foreign girls are not pinched or accosted, that night club and restaurant visitors are not defrauded with enormous bills, and to guard against the sale of fake souvenirs by bogus vendors or guide}. But a police spokesman said “pappagalll" young men forcing their attentions on girls—were, if; anything, less numerous than in previous years. I
