His job is to supervise and develop the sales force in the selling of existing agricultural products, and the launching of further products. Currently all the company’s products are supervised by one Sales Manager, but this new appointment will mark the beginning of separate sales divisions. The Agricultural Sales Manager will be responsible for motivating and supervising the sales force which is currently calling on farmers and stock and station agents. He will be expected to select and train additional sales representatives. In addition he will assist in developing promotional campaigns, put them into action, and also maintain budgetary control of sales promotion expenses. He will report to the Managing Director and live in Auckland. Applicants must have had experience in selling to farmers and be familiar with channels of distribution In agricultural selling.
