Trade Group Presentation
A presentation was made on Wednesday night to Mr T. G. Shanks, recently retired managing director of Suckling Brothers, Ltd., by the footwear manufacturers’ trade group of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association at its annual dinner.
On several occasions Mr Shanks had served as chairman of the local trade group, said the deputy chairman (Mr D. G. Sutcliffe), who made the presentation. He had been a member of the executive of the New Zealand Footwear Manufacturers’ Federation and served on the council of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association.
