TASMAN GAINS 10c ON FIRM N.Z. MARKET
Tasman Pulp and Paper rose 10c to 530 c on a firm New Zealand market yesterday to regain the level before the shares were ex dividend at the end of June. Rises in the New Zealand section outnumbered falls by 12 tn 8 but the overseas section was easier. B.H.P. regained 2c to 805 c of the 22c lost the previous day and Ampol rose 1c to 72c. Bank of New South Wales shed 5c to 470 c after recent rises and C.S.R. fell a similar amount to 340 c.
Early Brothers rose 2c to 130 c and Fletcher gained 1c to 161 c. N.Z. Insurance added 1c to 250 c but South British lost 2c to 318 c. Whitcombe and Tombs,
which fell 2c to 148 c, Is back to the year’s lowest point while R. A. Brierley, which has reported a loss, slipped 5c to 15c—35c below par value.
