WELLINGTON, July 5. “The Power Game” and “The Dick Van Dyke Show” are among the nation’s most popular television shows, according to the latest programme ratings. The five most popular programmes in the four centres, according to the latest N.Z.B.C. audience research survey for the five-week period ending June 3, were: Christchurch: “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” “Town and Around,” “The Power Game,” “Coronation Street” and “The Avengers’ (equal), “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.”
Auckland: “The Dick Van Dyke Show” and “The Power Game” (equal), “Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass,” “A Game of Murder,” “Town and Around.”
Wellington: “The Power Game,” “Town and Around,” N.Z.B.C. Reports, “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” “A Game of Murder.”
Dunedin: “Danger Man,” “Herb Alpert and • the Tijuana Brass,” “The Power Game,” “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” and “The Avengers” (equal).
