N.A.C. TAPE RELAY CENTRE.—Coded messages being handled by operators at the National Airways Corporation’s tape relay centre on the sixth floor of the new Bank of New Zealand building. The centre, which is the largest in Christchurch, came into use on Sunday night. Formerly it was in a building opposite the old air centre in Gloucester street. It processes domestic and overseas reservations and flight schedule messages. In peak periods it has processed 8400 messages a day.
