Chichester Sets Sail

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright)

PLYMOUTH, July 3.

Sir Francis Chichester was sailing slowly off the Devon coast yesterday afternoon after setting of in Gipsy Moth IV for London to be knighted. He is accompanied by his wife and son, Giles, and a friend on the final 350-mile leg of his 30,000 mile voyage. Sir Francis Chichester was originally to have been knighted by the Queen at Greenwich, London, on June 13, but an ulcer haemorrhage forced him to enter hospital and has delayed the investiture until next Friday.
