MAGAZINE PUBLISHED

/Vew Zealanders Abroad

The first issue of a monthly magazine for New Zealanders abroad, “New Zealand Overseas,” was published in France in April, edited by Mr J. Langdon (formerly of Auckland), a part-time English teacher and writer. The magazine describes itself as “radical—radical in that we want change back home. We want democratic change, and we believe that that comes through educative involvement. Our columns are open, wide open, to persuasive thoughts from New Zealanders abroad.” In the first edition are articles on the November elections, Britain’s attempts to join the E.E.C., Vietnam policies, Fascist tendencies in New Zealand, and book reviews. There is also a fourpage supplement on spring in Paris.

The magazine comprises 20 pages of articles with hardly any advertising, and costs Is 6d.
