Immigration Bill In U.K.
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) LONDON, June 26. New legislation on immigrants is being prepared by the British Government but it has not yet been decided if sections dealing with racial discrimination will make it illegal to operate a colour bar in employing labour, informed sources said this week. The Home Secretary, Mr Boy Jenkins, plans to put the new bill to Parliament later this year after consultations with trade unions and the Confederation of British Industries and a thorough assessment of recent reports on Britain’* immigration problems.
