Boy Killed By Turtles

An eight-year-old boy was killed by giant turtles when he fell into • a pond near Algiers, villagers reported yesterday. Firemen rushed to the bank, but the boy, Hedjab Abdellah, was already dead, his face eaten away by the turtles.
The villagers said two of the boy’s uncles and an aunt had died in similar circumstances in 1939.
