RANGOON RIOTING
Attack On Chinese (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) RANGOON, June 27. Shots were fired outside the Chinese Embassy in Rangoon late last night when a mob of 200 Burmese attacked the Embassy gates. Demonstrators said today that they had been fired on last night from the Embassy, but they did not know who had fired the shots. Reporters at the scene said they heard six shots fired, but they were also unable to say where they had come from. The anti-Chinese riot began outside a Chinese school in Rangoon and spread to the Embassy and other sections of the city where the mob burnt three buildings and 13 cars and destroyed another 28 vehicles —including an army vehicle and an official car.
