Latimer Square Project

Mr R. Wreaks, the general manager of the association said yesterday that the new building would accommodate the head office staff and the Canterbury branch. The building, a sketch plan of Which appears above, has been designed by Warren and Mahoney. “The association will occupy about two-thirds of

the building," Mr Wreaks said. “Three floors will be available for tenants and ample parking will be available. for the association’ll and tenants* needs.” With the association’s growth and its entry into the fire and accident field, it had completely outgrown its present building, Mr Wreaks said.

It was recognised that a large business had to have adequate accommodation to function successfully, and the directors of the association also looked on the project as a sound investment in the interests of policy-holders, he said.
