Russia qualified for the Group A final of the European zone Davis Cup tennis competition by taking a winning, 3-0 lead over Chile in their semi-final match in Moscow on Thursday. A. Metreveli and S. Likhachev beat J. P. Bravo and P. Cornejo, 7-5, 6-1, 6-2, in the doubles to add to the Russians’ two singles victories on the first day. In the Group A final, the Russians ' will meet either Spain or Britain whose semifinal tie at Eastbourne was halted by bad weather.
