LIPPMAN ‘RETIRES’
(N.Z.rjL.-tnttr—Conright) NEW YORK, May 28. The political commentator, Walter Uppmaan, aged 77, has announced he is giving up writing his regular newspaper column after 38 years. In his Anal syndicated twic»*week column he wrote: “More and more I have come to wish to get rid of the necessity of knowing, day in House and who sold what, and who saw whan, and who is listened to and who is not listened to." He will wrilniie to write for the magazine “Newsweek.”
