Calm Day
The weather in Christchurch yesterday was calm and overcast. There was low cloud, with isolated patches of fog, throughout the day. The maximum temperature recorded at Christchurch Airport was 54 degrees at 2 p.m. Other temperatures recorded at Harewood were 35 degrees at 6 a.m., 36 degrees at 9 a.m., 51 degrees at midday, and 53 degrees at 3 p.m. A temperature of 53 degrees was also recorded at the Botanical Gardens at 3 p.m. and on the temperature gauge on the Government Life building at 4.30 pm.
