Another Nickel Find In W.A.

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, May 26. Australia’s mineral “boom” has received a further boost with the discovery of a third find of nickel on the shores of Lake Lefroy in Western Australia. The discovery, announced yesterday, was made by the partnership explorers Anaconda Australia, Inc.,Ltd., Conzinc Riotinto Australia, Ltd., and New Broken Hill Consolidated, Ltd. A single drill-hole south of Widgiemooltha, on the southwestern shore of the salt lake Lefroy, intersected mineralisation at a depth from 279 to 287 ft. This intersection contained “important nickel and copper values,” the Anaconda group reports.
