BRITAIN’S MEAT

N.Z. Supplied One-Seventh (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A ) LONDON, May 25. New Zealand supplied about one-seventh of Britain’s meat supplies in the first three months of this year. Figures provided by the commodities division of the Commonwealth Secretariat show that 116,500 tons of the 756,400 tons of meat and offal on the market during the period were imported from New Zealand.

Australian supplies in the period were 11,700 tons and the Argentine sent 37,200 tons.

Rotary Appeal.—Lyttelton Rotarians collected £79 2s 5d in a street appeal at Lyttelton on Wednesday. The money will be given to the Choimondeley Memorial Home.
