Hong Kong Harassed

(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter —Copyright? HONG KONG, May 25. Left-wing elements today stepped np their campaign of harassment with snap strikes, cutting the vital cross harbour ferry service in the evening peak hour. The ferry services were halted shortly after 4.30 p.m. after union representatives had announced that they were calling a one-hour strike. The police moved quickly to the ferry terminals as tens of thousands of workers left their offices to make their way home. Many were unaware of the strike. The ferries connect Hong Kong island with the Kowloon peninsula, and it is estimated that up to 150,000 people travel on them daily.
