Damage To Cars
Two ' Daimler cars were damaged by fire yesterday. A 1954 Daimler and a 12ft by 18ft garage, owned by Mrs M. Hall, of 16 Atlee crescent, Bryndwr, were severely damaged. Units from the St Albans and Harewood stations answered a call at 3.35 a.m.
A rag left on the motor of ■ 1966 Daimler caught fire when the vehicle was on Dyers pass road about 9.40 a.m. A unit from the Sydenham station attended. The car, owned by the Marathon Rubber Company, was not badly damaged. A fire left burning in a fireplace in the shelter at the Sign of the Bellbird spread to the roof and damaged a portion of the ceiling, yesterday. Units from the Sydenham and Central stations answered a call at 2 a.m.
