The firet proposal would amend the Constitution so that the number of members of the House of Representatives may be increased without necessarily increasing the number of Senators. The second proposal would alter the Constitution so as to omit certain words relating to the people of Aboriginal Race in any State and so that Aboriginals will be counted in the census. Voting is compulsory for all Australians over 21 years of age and for all members of the Armed Services. Failure to vote could result in a fine. Australians in New Zealand should obtain application forms for postal votes from the Australian High Commission, P.O. Box 12145, Wellington North, or from the Trade Commission offices in Auckland or Christchurch. Application forms must be completed and returned to the Assistant Returning Officer. Australian High Commission, by 6 p.m. on the evening of May 26, 1967. Applications arriving after that time will not be accepted.
