DOUBLE ‘CAP’

The 22-year-old Aucklander, M. G. Burgess, has become a double New Zealand representative inside of eight days. On Tuesday of last week, Burgess was named in the cricket team to tour Australia in November and December, yesterday he was included in the party of 19 soccer players to play against Manchester United and Scotland. Burgess hopes to continue in both sports in their seasons.

“One of these days I shall have to decide, I suppose,” he said recently. “Cricket is not so physically demanding as soccer, so I suppose that soccer will be the first to go. But I want to try to play both as well as I can for a while yet" Another double “cap” tn the soccer team announced yesterday is G. P. Bilby, of Wellington, who opened in the cricket tests against England last year.
