The board says the table has already been applied to the consumers’ price index by the Government statistician, who reported there was no effect on the index. Incidentally, the board has already issued other tables, as

well as the universal table, for specialised conversion. These tables cover id and id conversions to whole and fractional cent rates, and to two or three decimal, places of a cent. There are also tables for “rounding off, rounding up or rounding down.” All may be obtained on application to the secretary of the Decimal Currency Board.
