(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 14. Wages rises of 16s 8d to 34s a week for harbour board employees, retrospective to last December 23, are granted in a new award released today by the Arbitration Court. The award also increases clerical worker’s rates at most ports by £29 to £72 a year. Females get from £29 to £B4 more.

The award introduces a long-service leave clause — three weeks’ annual leave after 10 years with the same employer, and after 20 years a special holiday of two weeks, after 30 years a special holiday of three weeks, after 35 years a special holiday of four weeks.
