RACIAL FIGHT

Cleveland Violence

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) CLEVELAND (Ohio), April 17. Violence broke out last night on the edge of Cleveland’s predominantly Negro Hough district, where rioting occurred last summer.

The trouble began after a fight between a Negro and a white man, the police said. Groups of youths began tossing stones and empty bottles at windows in the area.

At least one police car was also pelted. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Two youths were arrested. Police due to go off duty during the evening were ordered to remain at their posts.
