Demonstration In Madrid

About 200 students stopped traffic and dodged the police in central Madrid on Tuesday in a demonstration against legal action taken against fellow students after pitched battles last January.

At first about 100 strong, they converged on the Castellans avenue. shouting “Liberty,” "Democracy Yes, Dictatorship No,” stopping cars and banging on their windows. As police ran towards them they dodged up side streets and formed in larger numbers on the broad Serrano avenue.
