Defending Title.— The world light heavy-weight champion, Dick Tiger (Nigeria) will defend his title against J Torres, from whom he took the title last December, at New York, on May 16.
Match Abandoned.— Because nine players are not available, the Wellington Rugby Union has abandoned the New Zealand Marist charity fixture at Athletic Park on Anzac Day. Instead Wellington will play HuttValley.
